The Gertrude H. Hast Scholarship is for Indiana residents to enroll in the Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program (PBPM) at Washington University in St. Louis. The Hast Scholarship pays for $5,000 toward PBPM tuition for each academic year, and it can be renewed for one additional academic year (maximum award per student over two academic years = $10,000), as long as the recipient remains in good academic standing and maintains above a 3.0 GPA. This is a competitive scholarship, with a maximum of three awarded each year. This scholarship is awarded once per year – applicants should apply before the fall scholarship deadline on July 15.
Requirements
To be considered for the Hast Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Current Indiana resident – all applicants must present proof of Indiana residency.
- Admission into the Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Interview
