PBPM Intent to Complete Program

Successful completion of the program requires earning at least 24 units of approved course work with a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher. Students who meet the completion criteria are eligible for a cover letter, and a completion milestone will be added to your official transcript. Please see our program policies for more information.

A few things to consider before filing your intent to complete:
  • Only file for completion if you don’t intend to take any more courses through the program. Once a student officially completes the program, they no longer have access to priority registration or financial aid.
  • Post-bac students lose access to their WUSTL email about 90 days after the program closes in the student record. Be sure to use a personal email address as your primary contact when applying to professional schools.

What happens to my WashU e-mail after I finish the program? Read more about this topic HERE.

Courses eligible for transfer credit must be relevant to the PBPM program (professional school prerequisites or courses relevant to human or animal biology) and completed with a grade of B or better. Grades earned at other institutions will not be included in your WUSTL GPA. An official transcript from the non-WUSTL school must be sent to postbaccpremed@wustl.edu if we do not already have one on file.

A PDF of the letter will be emailed to the non-WashU email address you provided above. Your official transcript will also indicate you have completed all of the program requirements.
